BIO

Dr. Michael A. Gillespie is an Associate Professor of Psychology at University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus. He is also President of the Faculty Senate and Director of USFSM's campus-wide Incredi-Bull Critical Thinking program. His research interests include critical thinking, values, organizational culture, psychological measures, and job attitudes. He teaches Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Research Methods, and Statistics. Dr. Gillespie received his BA in Psychology at the University of South Florida in 1999, his MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Michigan State University in 2003, and his PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Bowling Green State University in 2005.

Prior to joining the faculty at USFSM, Dr. Gillespie was a data analyst at University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research (2003-2004) and Director of Research at Denison Consulting (2005-2008). More recently, at Bowling Green State University, he was a faculty affiliate in the Psychology Department, Assessment Coordinator for the College of Education, and an Assistant Professor of Assessment, Research, and Statistics in the School of Leadership and Policy Studies (2008-2011).
