Accounting Circle CPE Conference 2022

For alumni and professional partners. The Accounting Circle Conference Committee welcomes USF alumni and friends to its annual conference. We are excited to present the conference this year in a new format: virtually! We are Bulls and we did not let COVID-19 stop us from delivering our annual conference! This event is hosted by the Accounting Circle and made possible by many generous sponsors.

BETA ALPHA PSI SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET

April 29 | 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club

For current and graduating students. Our scholarship banquet is to celebrate another successful Beta Alpha Psi semester and to recognize the new summer and fall scholarship recipients.The banquet will also recognize graduating students from the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy. 

MAcc Student Information Session Fall 2021

For prospective graduate students. It is never too early to be thinking about plans post-graduation. We encourage prospective USF Master of Accountancy students to attend our information session to learn more about the program. Staff and faculty from the Lynn Pippenger School will be presenting and taking your questions.

For current students. This corporate connections event commingles USF accounting students with business professionals in a casual setting to help students get an early start with networking and preparing for the accounting career fair. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about local and nation-wide companies as well as network with accounting professionals.

Accounting career fair

For current students and alumni. Students pursuing their Accounting degree at USF are invited to attend this career fair. Students attending will meet with organizations recruiting for accounting internships, Co-ops, and full-time opportunities. We highly recommend that you wear business professional attire and bring copies of your resume.

All Majors Career Fair

For current students. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about local and nation-wide companies as well as network with accounting professionals.

Ultimate Accounting Bootcamp

Before every Spring and Fall semester | 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m | BSN 1204

For current students. Come strengthen your core with our Ultimate Accounting Bootcamp. Spend your day reviewing familiar financial accounting topics that are covered in the Intermediate I course. This event provides not only a review of the basic, but a more in-depth coverage of the topics covered in class next semester and lunch.


Past Events

WELCOME BACK PICNIC

Fall | BSN Atrium and Breezeway

For current students, alumni, professionals and families. We have not had the chance to host another Welcome Back picnic in a few years, but we hope to host again son! The Welcome Back Picnic is an event that is held in the fall on a Saturday afternoon. It allows students (past and present), faculty, and professionals to welcome in the new school year. Join us to reunite with old friends and meet new friends. This great kick off to the fall semester and a networking event sponsored by the Accounting Circle.

Employ-A-Bull Workshop

For current students. Outshine the competition with a little preparation, prepare for the upcoming career fairs with the Employ-A-Bull workshop. 

Beta Alpha Psi Annual Golf Tournament

For current students, alumni and local professionals. Our Beta Alpha Psi hosts the Dr. William Parrot Golf Tournament every year to help the students raise money for scholarships and funds for the organization.

 

Corporate Connections

For current students. Corporate Connections is a networking event for graduate business students to meet with corporate representatives to discuss career opportunities. Informal discussions take place in a more relaxed environment than a typical career fair, and, while participants do not bring elaborate booths or materials, representative companies are typically hiring for internship positions and many have full-time positions available (and résumés are collected).

CPA Exam Workshop

For current students and alumni. Participants at this workshop will learn more about the CPA exam registration process, review sample questions, and discuss study tips and tricks. The workshop will also inform students about the regulatory requirements to become a CPA in Florida. This event is sponsored by the Accounting Circle.

Bulls Unite- High School Outreach

For prospective students. Participants at this half-day conference to explore why accounting is the "language of business" and learn about the many career paths made possible with an accounting degree. USF alumni and business leaders from the local community participate in panel discussions related to the field.  

Accounting Screams for Publix Ice Cream

For current students. Students will have the chance to not only tour the plant, but speak with accounting professionals and meet with panel for a discussion on areas of Publix accounting/finance such as consolidations, Treasury, tax, and budget planning. Lunch and transportation will be provided.
