Featuring the 9th Great Power Competition Conference examining the revolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as it transforms the very nature of great power competition, conflict, and international cooperation. Competing effectively in this disruptive environment requires understanding how the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and other U.S. rivals strategically integrate AI technology across economic, diplomatic, information, and military sectors. To meet this challenge, the ninth GPC conference has gathered senior government officials, academic experts, and private industry leaders to examine how great powers such as China are deploying AI, particularly in the pivotal US Central Command Area of Responsibly (AOR), and how the US can respond to these challenges in terms of strategic competition, conflict mitigation, national security, and international cooperation.

The Global National Security Institute (GNSI) at the University of South Florida (USF), in partnership with the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) and the USF College of Arts and Sciences, along with the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO), as well as the Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI+X) at USF, is proud to sponsor the ninth bi-annual conference on The Great Power Competition (GPC), scheduled for March 5-7, 2024, at the Marshall Center on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa, Florida. The three-day interdisciplinary conference will consist of prominent static capabilities and displays, keynote speakers, panels, and roundtables while reserving time for informal discussions and networking. The conference will focus on how the United States can progress, develop, and employ artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to enable faster analysis, faster decisions, and faster actions than our adversaries and competitors.  

The Great Power Competition Conference is one of the nation's premier ongoing conferences focused on the Great Power Competition. GPC is a platform that brings together scholars, researchers, private industry, and practitioners with policymakers to ensure that decision-makers can access the most current and complete knowledge possible. This bi-annual conference series provides a conduit for diverse perspectives on the most critical issues and challenges facing the United States at the tactical, strategic, and policy levels to ensure that global security remains operative against emerging threats.

GNSI Tampa Summit 3 and GPC9 will be held March 5-7, in the Royal Palm Ballroom at the Marshall Student Center on the Tampa campus of USF.
