Christie Nicholas

Christie earned her B.A in Creative Writing, her M.Ed. in Instructional Technology,
and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Program Development at USF. She is active in
the field of online learning and has written for publication on collaborative course
design and gamification. Christie is passionate about design and recognizes the value
of interpersonal connections within the design process. She serves on the Council
for Technology in Instruction and Research at USF and is the recipient of the DDL-AECT
Crystal Award for her contributions in innovation and outstanding multimedia-based
distance learning courses. As the Director of Learning Design and Research at Digital
Learning, Christie leads a talented team of learning designers in the creation of
high-quality, student-centered online courses.
Christie loves being able to contribute to the learning experiences of USF students.
She is a native Floridian and is happiest when she's with her husband and their four-legged
Schnoxie, Shamus.
