In October 2019, it launched the USF-Jabil Innovation Institute with an $800,000 philanthropic gift, a $200,000 research budget, a physical Jabil presence in the USF Research Park, and the Jabil Speaker Series with the Tampa Bay Technology Incubator at USF (Tampa Bay Business Journal / paywall).

EPA administrator announces launch of USF-led project to address local revitalization efforts through workforce development
The USF Center for Brownfields Research & Redevelopment is launching a program designed to clean up contaminated neighborhoods while creating jobs for residents.
