Doctoral Psychology Intern
Pronouns: She/her/hers
Languages in which I conduct therapy: English, Vietnamese
My approach to therapy: I love working with clients with various developmental life challenges and mental health concerns as well as working with clients from diverse backgrounds and providing a safe space for clients to explore their identity development and bring to light any underlying issues impacting their well-being. Working with diverse clients from a holistic multicultural approach means I look at clients’ clinical issues that are interrelated to their cultural values, belief systems, societal factors, physical-mental health, and mind-body-spirit.
My approach to supervision: I approach supervision from the perspective of an integrative modality that includes a strength-based, developmental, and feminist-multicultural framework. As a supervisor, I strive for a supportive and culturally sensitive supervisee-supervisor relationship to empower the supervisee. From my perspective, supervision should be a safe and supportive space for both the supervisor and supervisee to self-reflect and incorporate feedback for further professional development.
