Qualifications and Benefits

Minimum Qualifications: 
The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Counseling, Clinical, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program and have successfully completed pre-doctoral internship.

Preferred Qualifications:
Counseling Center Track
The preferred candidate will have experience in a college/university counseling center. Experience in crisis management, eating disorders, trauma, and substance use treatment is preferred.

Dual Campus Tracks
The preferred candidate will have experience in a health care setting such as a hospital, medical clinic, veterans' hospital or mental health center. Experience in health psychology, behavioral medicine and/or mood disorders in an interdisciplinary environment is preferred.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct brief counseling and crisis assessment and intervention with a variety of mental health issues and client populations
  • Demonstrated skills in consultation and liaison with a variety of physical and mental health professionals
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in treating individuals with physical and mental health issues
  • Demonstrated skills in providing outreach and psycho-educational services
  • Knowledge of developmental issues in University populations
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and ethics pertaining to mental health
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in an interdisciplinary environment

The stipend for the full time position is $47,800, plus available benefits participation.
