USF World Crosses New Frontiers in Global Learning Via Virtual Global Exchange
August 4, 2022 -- Studying abroad is a powerful vehicle for the exchange of ideas, cultures, and perspectives. While it has been a consistent front-runner in the formative experiences of young college students, a new, more inclusive opportunity is blazing trails and easily avoiding many of the roadblocks that limit participation in education abroad.  

Interdisciplinary USF Team is Awarded U.S. Embassy Grant for Collaborative Tourism Research in Florida and Serbia
July 27, 2022 -- USF hospitality and tourism faculty and students will travel to Serbia in the fall of 2022 as part of a $98,000 U.S. Embassy University Partnership grant awarded to an interdisciplinary team of USF researchers from the Patel College for Global Sustainability, the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the Muma College of Business, and the Access 3D Lab.

April 27, 2022 -- The newly released Times Higher Education Impact Rankings place USF in the top five overall in the U.S. for its sustainable development, also leading for its efforts to end poverty, protect oceans and to strengthen partnerships throughout the world. These initiatives are in alignment with the university’s new strategic plan, continuing to build on its commitment to solving consequential global problems and addressing Florida’s most significant challenges.

March 9, 2022 -- When global events affect students, staff, and faculty at home, USF World often receives questions about where people can donate or otherwise offer their assistance. This page is designed to help those in the greater Tampa Bay area identify vetted organizations and funds that offer resources to those who are most affected by unexpected natural disasters, armed conflict, and disease outbreak.  

USF ranks in the top 10 for Fulbright scholars
March 1, 2022 -- According to the U.S. Department of State, the University of South Florida is tied for seventh nationally for the number of Fulbright scholars for the 2021-2022 period. The ranking, first published by The Chronicle of Higher Education, shows no other Florida university produced more Fulbright scholars than USF. This is the eighth consecutive year that USF ranks among the top university sponsors of Faculty Fulbright Awards nationally.
