BIOGRAPHY

Maggie is a Doctoral Candidate and Instructor in the University of South Florida Department of Communication. Maggie also holds an M.A. in Mass Communication and B.A. in General Studies with an English Emphasis from Brigham Young University.

Academically, Maggie is passionate about researching narrative and communication strategies that increase faith, hope, and resilience; organize, build, and strengthen communities; develop and empower leaders, and affect positive change in society, specifically within the context of faith-based and nonprofit settings. 

Professionally, Maggie has held managing, directing, and consulting roles in corporate and agency recruiting settings. Maggie has built and restructured recruiting departments and agencies handling up to 100-1,000 hires annually; co-built a recruiting process outsourcing (RPO) firm; and owns a recruiting agency that provides contract talent acquisition and consulting services. Maggie has successfully recruited 1,000+ professional, managerial, and C-Suite positions for organizations nationwide. 

For fun, Maggie loves singing and listening to jazz, blues, musical theater, and gospel music. She also enjoys nature walks, board games, writing stories, journaling, and spending time with friends and family.
