Dr. Jessica M. Grosholz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology at USF on the Sarasota-Manatee campus. Dr. Grosholz earned her PhD from Emory University in 2014 working under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Agnew. Her research focuses on prisoner reentry and recidivism, health and crime, human trafficking, and qualitative field research. She is currently an evaluation consultant for Selah Freedom, Inc.’s Office for Victims of Crime federal grant. Dr. Grosholz’s research has been published in outlets such as Youth & Society, Criminal Justice & Behavior, Health & Justice, Social Science and Medicine, International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology, and Deviant Behavior.

Dr. Grosholz teaches undergraduate classes in criminological theory, research methods, prisoner reentry and recidivism, and miscarriages of justice. She also teaches graduate level courses in corrections. In 2018, Dr. Grosholz received both the USF Sarasota-Manatee Student Government Association Outstanding Professor Award and the Faculty Senate Excellence in Community Engagement Award.
