Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering
The Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Florida prepares individuals to contribute in this highly interdisciplinary field both as individuals and as members of interdisciplinary teams. Graduates are prepared to solve complex problems in areas such as: diagnostic instrumentation, artificial organs, prosthetic devices, rehabilitation, health care system design and operations, biomechanics, biomaterials, imaging, neuroengineering, tissue engineering, and cellular‐level drug delivery, among others. The doctoral major capitalizes on USF's strong programs in Engineering and in the Health Sciences as well as the contiguously located H. Lee. Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, and the James Haley Veterans Administration Hospital.
