Rapid Experimentation Lab

The Rapid Experimentation Lab (REL) at the Institute of Applied Engineering (IAE) provides the necessary infrastructure, tools and collaborative environment to enable the curious and inspired to design, build and test technologies for today and tomorrow. More than just a makerspace, the REL is a playground for mechanical, electronics, sensors, communications, and software teams to quickly iterate on designs to solve problems, invent new products and rapidly deliver cutting-edge capabilities.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Since its inception in 2018, our internship program has grown to encompass more than 700 students placed with agencies that support the U.S. Department of Defense, especially U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa.
