Gelisa Evans graduated from the USF College of Engineering in the fall of 2024 with an undergraduate in electrical engineering. Before graduation, Gelisa received the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE): Women in Energy Scholarship, which led to a to wonderful opportunity.

2025 Fulbright Specialist – Engineering Professor, Arash Takshi

Professor Arash Takshi, Ph.D., has been named a Fulbright Specialist by the U.S. Department of State. This appointment provides U.S. professionals like Takshi with a chance to participate in short-term, project-based exchanges, where they work with host institutions abroad to promote mutual understanding and foster educational collaborations. The Fulbright Specialist Program is designed to provide U.S. academics and professionals with the opportunity to share their expertise globally while building capacity at their overseas host institutions.
