Overview

The Office of Graduate Studies welcomes students from abroad. A diverse student body is a cornerstone of both USF and the Office of Graduate Studies’ educational philosophy. This is a
critical component of a successful graduate student experience. Currently, USF is home to more than 2,300 international graduate students and 190 research scholars from over 120 countries. In addition, we have many faculty members and visiting scholars from across the globe.

Office of International Services

The Office of International Services (OIS) at USF is the main administrative and immigration advising office for international students and research scholars from over 130 countries.

Class Registration Restriction for F-1 Visas

NOTE: F-1 student visa regulations allow students to enroll in only one 3-credit hour online/distance learning course per the official full-time equivalent for the degree level of study. Therefore, the F-1 visa is not appropriate for any degree program that is offered completing via distance learning or online courses.
