Inspired by an Honors applied medical ethics course, USF student Aiden Jaskolka-Brown chose to become a living organ donor. His decision resulted in saving the life of an infant boy near his hometown.

Honors Students Reflect on Formative Study Abroad Trip to the Dominican Republic

Over winter break in 2023, Honors students and faculty journeyed to the Dominican Republic to engage in an immerse study abroad program focused on global healthcare and access to medical treatment. The trip is an extension of the Honors Beyong the Classroom: Dominican Republic Health and Culture course.

Judge Julianna Michelle Childs, U.S. Circuit Judge for the Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia and USF alumna, recently visited the Judy Genshaft Honors College where she spoke to Honors students about her experiences in law during a visit to the new Judy Genshaft Honors college. Judge Childs also received the USF 2023 Alumni Award for her accomplishments as a judge and attorney as well as, her dedication to building a better world through advocacy for equality and commitment to justice
