Every week, there are dozens of events on campus, many of which are certified as Global Events. If you are completing the Global Citizens Award, these events count towards your requirements. To view the complete list of global events, we invite students to connect with us.

Are you hosting a campus event with a global or cultural focus? Then submit your Global Event Form and let us advertise it on our BullsConnect and our Global Citizen Award Canvas module.

Sustain-a-Bull Workshop series
Get Global! Through this workshop series, you will be exposed to a variety of global issues by exploring the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals, connecting these issues to your life, and learning how to participate in society as a global citizen.
These workshops will count as approved events for the Global Citizen Award!
SDG 1: No Poverty. Friday September 16. 02:00 pm-03:15pm. Online. RSVP
Our guest speaker Dr. Maria Gonzalez from UniNorte, Colombia, will be presenting on the issue andshare with us ways to connect this global issue to our lives.

Our guest speaker, Dr. Nazek Jawad, the Learning and Development Specialist at HIPUR, will be presenting on the issue andshare with us ways to connect this global issue to our lives.
SDG11: Sustainable Cities & Communities. Wednesday October 5. 2:00pm-3:15pm. In-person: Tampa Campus, LIB 210. RSVP
Our guest speaker, Mr. Eric Fiske will be presenting on the issue. He is a professor at HCC, where he advises the HCC's Model United Nations program and heads the Sustainability Council. He will share with us ways to connect this global issue to our lives, within our Tampa Bay community.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. Friday October 21. 2:00pm-3:15pm. Online. RSVP
Our guest speaker Ms. Priscila Boada will be presenting on the issue. In this workshop, she will highlight the significance of this global goal and provide an overview of the City of Tampa performance, compare the targets and metrics with real actions that are happening in the Tampa Bay area, and share with us a list of small changes in our daily routines that can contribute to the mitigation of Climate Change.

Our guest speaker, Mr. Nicholas Barnes, theExperiential Learning Assistant at the office of High Impact Practices and Undergraduate Research (HIPUR),will be presenting on the issue. He completed his Master's Degree in Global sustainability at the Patel College, andduring his graduate studies, Nicholas served as the program manager for Tampa Bay Farm 2 School, a non-profit focused on sustainability education in the TampaBay region. Today hewill share with us ways to connect this global issue to our lives.
