CPT Jason Holbrook Memorial Leadership Scholarship

CPT Jason Holbrook

CPT Jason Holbrook

A philanthropic fund maintained by the USF Joint Military Leadership Center to support ROTC student attendance at a nationally recognized annual leadership conference held at one of the U.S. service academies or another prestigious civilian university/college.

CPT Holbrook, 28, of Burnet, Texas, was fatally wounded in Tsagay, Afghanistan on July 29, 2010, when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device (IED) during a combat reconnaissance patrol.  He was newly wed to USF alumnae Heather Holbrook, '03.  Her parents, Cindy, '74, and John Harper, '76, decided to memorialize their son-in-law through a scholarship fund that would honor his memory in a way that suited his career choice and his sacrifice for his country.
