The IB Maintenance Shop, managed by Richard Romeo, is available to the University community to repair and maintain mechanical and electronic equipment. "Romeo" brings with him extensive knowledge of electrical systems and small motor repair, including expertise in automotive care. He is able to quickly diagnose circuit errors and can provide regular preventative maintenance on a number of research instruments
Typical work performed includes the repair and maintenance of: microscopes, pipettes, centrifuges, plate pourers, autoclaves, department vechicles, incubators and manufacture of custom laboratory equipment
