For specific Financial Aid questions, please visit the USF Financial Aid website.

The College of The Arts (CoTA) processes scholarship requests through Financial Aid for state funded Talent Grants and USF Foundation funded scholarships. Department representatives must submit a complete USF Financial Aid Payment Request form for the appropriate fiscal year to the CoTA Dean's Office (Mailpoint: FAH 110 or email Deb Smith) for processing. Once eligibility, fund purpose and available budget are confirmed, the scholarship form will be submitted to the USF Financial Aid for processing.

Process Information for Department Administrators:

Talent Grants

CoTA receives an allocation from Financial Aid for talent-based grants to attract quality students. The allocation amount to each unit is determined within the College and announced to the units in the end of the fall semester for the upcoming academic year. The units have their own criteria and process for awarding the talent-based grants. Any overspending of a unit's allocation will be the responsibility of the unit to cover. The expenses over the College's allocation are transferred to the College and unit as applicable before the end of the fiscal year.

University Graduate Fellowships - UGF

CoTA receives an allocation from the Graduate School for Graduate Fellowships.  The School of Music, the School of Art & Art History and the School of Architecture & Community Design submit nomimations for an individual to be selected as the recipient of a Graduate Fellowship. CoTA Graduate Fellowship recipient information is submitted to the CoTA Dean's Office (Arupa Gopal) where it is reviewed and forwarded onto the Graduate School. Tuition waivers are included with this Fellowship. The Graduate School processes all the Financial Aid scholarship forms and requests that the additional funds be transferred to them from CoTA at the beginning of the fiscal year.
