International Student Insurance Compliance

Students under an F or J visa are required to carry health insurance that meets the minimum coverage requirements per Florida Board of Governor's Regulation 6.009 and USF Regulation 6.0162.

International students will be able to enroll online and pay Gallagher Student Health & Risk directly beginning July 18, 2022. To enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan for the 2022-2023 policy year:  

  1. Visit www.gallagherstudent.com/usf

  2. If you are using a computer, click on ‘International Student Enroll’ under ‘Student Access’.
    -OR- If you are using a mobile device, tap ‘Quick Links’, then ‘International Student Enroll’.

  3. Log in using the instructions provided under ‘Student Login’ on the upper right hand corner of the page.

  4. Please answer the questions to be directed to the applicable online enrollment form

Annual (8/17/22 - 8/16/23) $3,062.00
Fall (8/17/22 - 12/31/22) $1,149.00

If you enrolled directly with Gallagher Student Health under the USF Policy or as a GA/RA/TA, our office will confirm your enrollment with Gallagher. You do NOT need to submit proof of enrollment to our office. Your OASIS account will only be updated once we confirm your enrollment with Gallagher.

You may waive out of the USF policy by purchasing an adequate alternative policy. Please refer to the 2022-2023 pre-approved alternative insurance list. If you purchase a policy from a company listed on the pre-approved alternative insurance list, that insurance company will submit proof of enrollment to our office on your behalf. Your account will only be updated once the company notifies us directly. Please allow up to 3 weeks for it to reflect on your student account. 

If you use any other insurance policy, you will need to have the insurance company complete and submit the USF Insurance Compliance form to us with a detailed medical insurance policy brochure and copy of your insurance card. Proof of your alternative policy needs to be submitted to us prior to August 19, 2022. 

All insurance documents must be submitted to our office by using the Web Submission link at the bottom of this page. We will not review any documents submitted to us via email.

Students NOT on a student visa (F or J) can enroll online for the 2022-2023 USF Student Insurance policy or provide a copy of the front and back of their health insurance card, as your requirements are slightly different.
