CRW 6025 Special Topics in Creative Writing. Topic: creative writing pedagogy. This topic is an introduction to the practical and theoretical concerns involved in teaching creative writing. Students typically take this course in the fall of their second year.

    First-Year Composition

    All first year MFA students teach in the FYC program.

    Professional and Technical Communication

    The Professional and Technical Communication graduate certificate combines workplace writing theory and practice with an emphasis on contemporary multimedia communication technologies. The certificate helps working professionals to strengthen their workplace skills and provides the opportunity for students from all graduate programs to broaden their research and teaching experience as they prepare for a competitive job market in English studies.

    Academy of Teaching and Learning Excellence

    ATLE envisions a safe harbor for faculty to seek guidance, suggestions, and best practices for teaching strategies, and to learn of new ideas and technologies in pedagogy. ATLE supports faculty in their roles as teachers and mentors to students. This support includes providing consultations, training, "office hours for faculty," and just-in-time aid both in person and delivered asynchronously through the Web.
