Early Admission

Early Admission is a form of dual enrollment whereby eligible high school students are admitted to USF as fulltime students for fall and spring semesters of their high school senior year. 

During the early admission year, students take 12-15 credits each semester.  The courses they take earn credit toward both a baccalaureate degree and completion of the high school diploma. 

Early admission is open to students from any high school setting: public school districts, charter schools, private schools, or homeschools.  Schools, School Districts, Homeschooled students interested in making early admissions can request an Early Admission Articulation Agreement with USF by submitting an electronic request. Students must start the Early Admission Process as early as the summer before or the beggining of their Junior Year of High School.  

Please Note: 

  • Be sure to follow the application procedure for Early Admissions. Make sure you fill out the Early Admission Approval Form 1, otherwise students may be charged for tutition. Early Admissions online applications must be completed by March 15, there are no exceptions.
  • While many of the policies and procedures for early admission are the same as for regular dual enrollment, early admission students have different qualifications. Please see requirements and deadlines.

 JUDY GENSHAFT HONORS COLLEGE 

Students interested in starting their post secondary academic journey early may also be interested in applying to the Judy Genshaft Honors College (JGHC). Students who are interested must start applying to the Judy Genshaft Honors College in the summer before their junior year in high school. All requirements must be completed by March 1st. 

             Honors College is not required for Early Admission Dual Enrolled Students

NOTE:  Students who are only taking Dual Enrollment courses are not eligble for the Judy Genshaft Honors College.
