Graduate Curriculum Process

Concurrent Degrees

For all actions - Faculty Submission and Notification Settings.

  1. For all actions, faculty must be the proposer/originator of the request due to faculty governance.
  2. Before proceeding, faculty are advised to confirm the notification settings so updates on the proposal will be received in the desired timing. (see Curriculog Information page for instructions)
  3. Submit one request per major; do not submit one proposal for multiple majors.
  4. Forms and Instructions are on the Curriculog Information page

Follow these instructions to formalize concurrent graduate degrees where both majors are already existing and approved. NOTE: total combined hours must be at least 60 graduate hours.  For assistance contact Carol Hines-Cobb.

ALSO see Curriculog Information for forms and resources.

NEW CONCURRENT DEGREES

Concurrent degrees allow a student to pursue two majors simultaneously and share between 0%-15% of the total combined minimum credit hours. Only structured graduate coursework may be shared. Students must be in good standing at the time of application to a Concurrent Degree.
