Academic Advocacy

Withdrawal Limit Notification

Each week after the second week of classes and until the late drop deadline the Office of Academic Advocacy (OAA) runs a report to identify all students who attempt to withdraw from a class or classes over their withdrawal limit. The purpose of the report is early identification of students who may be experiencing challenges with completion. The report is reviewed to check if the student has submitted an ARC petition for withdrawal. If they have not, an email is sent recommending they meet with their academic advisor or an academic advocate to discuss their challenges and their options.

OAA encourages advisors to seek collaboration or assistance in the resolution of specific student issues.
